Un libro que más que una narración es una investigación desde las entrañas, que busca los rastros del padre para hacer de un instrumento como el bandoneón un sinthome. Marca singular que finalmente aloja al padre despidiéndose de él.

Esta es una novela de búsqueda de la identidad que tiene mucho de policial. La autenticidad de los hechos se une al intento de hacer literatura con la autobiografía, con lo que tiene de más oscuro y complejo. Sebastián Mederos se vale de recuerdos fragmentarios para reconstruir su vida y la de su padre: tiene un plan de escritura para situar esos fragmentos y evaluarlos en relación con su mirada. El estilo es conversacional, como si la dificultad de armar la historia obligara a asumir un tono conciliatorio y abierto, en la medida en que apela a distintas zonas del pasado, más o menos remoto, más o menos vinculado con el objeto de sus búsquedas, para ampliar el territorio de la escritura. El título, Allanamientos, refiere a un hecho del pasado, pero también da cuenta de esa violenta irrupción de la novela en su pasado.

Sebastián Mederos es uruguayo de nacimiento, ha vivido en Mar del Plata, en Buenos Aires y actualmente reside en Montevideo . Es músico bandoneonista y ha integrado grupos como Sin Palabras, Morelia y Otros Indios. En el 2010 se recibió de psicólogo y actualmente es psicoanalista clínico. Su compromiso con la búsqueda de la identidad a través del arte lo ha llevado a recorrer el camino de la composición musical y de la escritura narrativa. Allanamientos es su primera novela, y ha sido seleccionada por el MEC para su publicación.

This is a novel about the search for identity that has a lot of detective fiction in it. The authenticity of the events is combined with the attempt to create literature from autobiography, with all its darkness and complexity. Sebastián Mederos uses fragmentary memories to reconstruct his life and that of his father: he has a writing plan to situate those fragments and evaluate them in relation to his own perspective. The style is conversational, as if the difficulty of piecing together the story forced him to adopt a conciliatory and open tone, insofar as it appeals to different areas of the past, more or less remote, more or less linked to the object of his search, in order to expand the territory of writing. The title, Allanamientos, refers to an event in the past, but also reflects the violent irruption of the novel into his past.
Roberto Appratto
Sebastián Mederos was born in Uruguay, has lived in Mar del Plata and Buenos Aires, and currently resides in Montevideo. He is a bandoneon player and has been a member of groups such as Sin Palabras, Morelia, and Otros Indios. In 2010, he graduated as a psychologist and is currently a clinical psychoanalyst. His commitment to the search for identity through art has led him to pursue musical composition and narrative writing. Raids is his first novel and has been selected by the MEC for publication.
