Militants. Take care of yourselves!
Sobre el inminente final de la humanidad, largamente anunciado, tenemos ya abundante material acumulado como para resignificarlo todo y dar el único giro que importa: el giro práctico. Girar sobre nosotros mismos y entender de qué estamos hechos: técnicas, ejercicios, repeticiones, inercias, enunciados y movimientos que nos constituyen.
¿Cómo podemos transformarnos a partir de todo esto? ¿Cómo procesar al mismo tiempo cada modo, cada dispositivo, cada relación, en su conjunción dispar con otras y otros? Roque Farrán aborda el desafío de pensar una comunicación transversal a lo artístico, lo político, lo educativo, lo científico y propone una crítica a la militancia desde un punto singular que conecta con lo más vasto en virtud de su posible transformación.
Filósofo argentino contemporáneo, investigador independiente del Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas (Conicet). Entre sus obras se destacan Badiou y Lacan: el anudamiento del sujeto (Prometeo, 2014); Nodal: método, estado, sujeto (La Cebra/Palinodia, 2016); La Razón de los Afectos: populismo, feminismo, psicoanálisis (Prometeo, 2021); El Giro Práctico: ejercicios de filosofía, ética y política en la coyuntura (CIECS, 2022). Dirige actualmente el programa de investigación "El giro práctico en el pensamiento contemporáneo" (CIECS-UNC-Conicet).
Regarding the imminent end of humanity that has been largely announced, we already have abundant material accumulated to redefine everything and take the only turn that matters: the practical turn. Turning on ourselves and understanding what we are made of: techniques, exercises, repetitions, inertias, statements and movements that constitute us.
How can we transform from all of this? How to process at the same time each mode, each device, each relationship, in its disparate conjunction with others? Roque Farrán addresses the challenge of thinking about communication that cuts across the artistic, political, educational, and scientific aspects and proposes a critique of the militancy from a singular point that connects with the vastest aspects in virtue of its possible transformation.
Contemporary Argentine philosopher, independent researcher at the National Council for Scientific and Technical Research (Conicet). His works include Badiou and Lacan: the knotting of the subject (Prometheus, 2014); Nodal: method, state, subject (La Cebra/Palinodia, 2016); The Reason for Affections: populism, feminism, psychoanalysis (Prometeo, 2021); The Practical Turn: exercises in philosophy, ethics and politics in the current situation (CIECS, 2022). He currently directs the research program "The practical turn in contemporary thought" (CIECS-UNC-Conicet).
