Estuvo entre los más vendidos en Colombia y agotó diez ediciones en español, y otra bilingüe. Algunos de los cuentos han sido incluidos en varias antologías: “Amorica Latina” de Erna Pfeiffer (1991, Austria y 1993, Alemania), textos eróticos de mujeres latinoamericanas; “Ellas cuentan” de Luz Mary Giraldo (1998, Colombia); “Cuando las gallinas cacarean” de Peter Shultze Kraft, (2003, Alemania) compilación de cuentistas colombianos; “El cuento breve en Colombia” de Henry González (2003, Colombia). Luz María Betancurt escribi{o su tesis Doctoral sobre el trabajo literiario.
La autora tiene cuatro libros de cuentos y seís de poesía, publicó el libro, ¨Un vestido rojo para bailar boleros¨ , primer libro en español, está entre los más vendidos en Colombia, ha sido incluida en el Diccionario Universal de mujeres creadoras, que fue publicado por la editorial Des Femmes en París, 2013.

Some of the short stories have been included in several anthologies: "Amorica Latina" by Erna Pfeiffer (1991, Austria and 1993, Germany), erotic texts of Latin American women writers; “Women told Storiies” by Luz Mary Giraldo (1998, Colombia); “When hens Cakle and cluck” by Peter Shultze Kraft, (2003, Germany) compilation of Colombian short story writers; "The short story in Colombia" by Henry González (2003, Colombia). Luz María Betancurt wrote her doctoral dissertation on the literary work.
The author has four books of short stories and six of poetry, she published the book, ¨A red dress to dance boleros¨, the first book in Spanish, it is among the best sellers in Colombia, it has been included in the Universal Dictionary of creative women, which It was published by Des Femmes publishing house in Paris, 2013.
