Ku Si Mon Editora was established in 1997 in Bissau, being the first private Bissau-Guinean publishing house to emerge after the establishment of a multi-party democracy. Its main areas of intervention are literature (novels, short stories, essays), oral tradition (collections of tales, proverbs, riddles), and linguistics (bilingual analogical dictionaries).
