Le Gros Mouton Rond
The Big Round Sheep
Maribelle was a big round sheep,
Her rosy wool was soft and deep.
One day she sneezed, and with a whoosh,
Her wool flew off in one big swoosh!
She felt quite sad, her shape now slim,
Her friends all cheered and clapped for her trim.
They smiled and said she looked just right,
But Maribelle frowned, it didn’t feel bright.
She whispered inside, without a sound:
Is it really so bad to be round?
Sindy Marchand turns her teenage experience into creative strength. With The Big Round Sheep, her first children’s book, she addresses fatphobia and weight-related prejudice.
