Una travesía artística y educativa sobre la cosmovisión de los pueblos originarios. Muchos de estos pueblos mantenían un profundo vínculo espiritual con la tierra, considerando sagrado cada elemento de su entorno. A través de tradiciones orales, rituales y festividades, transmitían su historia y cosmovisión de generación en generación. Hoy, muchas comunidades originarias preservan su identidad y tradiciones, contribuyendo a la diversidad cultural de Argentina. En este libro rescatamos esas tradiciones en mapas de cosmovisión de los Wichi, mbya guaraní, chané, kolla, moqoit, tehuelche.
Soy Carolina Ortiz Maldonado, docente con especialización en Educación por el Arte, titiritera, artista plástica, arte terapeuta, tallerista, ilustradora y narradora, todo en ese orden. Trabajo con las infancias desde hace 27 años ininterrumpidamente. También soy mamá de cuatro. Parecen muchas cosas, pero todas se entrelazan casi siempre, y se complementan. En la actualidad viajo por mi país recorriendo comunidades originarias y escuelas rurales en lugares de difícil acceso, dando talleres y relevando imágenes. Desde los cinco años dibujo y pinto, y de allí han salido y salen muchas cosas.
An artistic and educational journey through the worldview of indigenous peoples. Many of these peoples maintained a deep spiritual connection to the land, considering every element of their environment sacred. Through oral traditions, rituals, and festivals, they passed down their history and worldview from generation to generation. Today, many indigenous communities preserve their identity and traditions, contributing to Argentina's cultural diversity. In this book, we capture these traditions in worldview maps of the Wichi, Mbya Guaraní, Chané, Kolla, Moqoit, and Tehuelche peoples.
I am Carolina Ortiz Maldonado, a teacher specialising in Art Education, a puppeteer, a visual artist, an art therapist, a workshop facilitator, an illustrator, and a storyteller, all in that order. I've been working with children for 27 years without interruption. I'm also a mother of four. It seems like a lot of things, but they almost always intertwine and complement each other. I currently travel around my country, visiting indigenous communities and rural schools in hard-to-reach places, giving workshops and collecting images. I've been drawing and painting since I was five, and many things have emerged and continue to emerge from there.
