Es ist nicht daran zu denken, dass Anatol in die Schule geht. Er ist ein kluges, fantasievolles Kind, aber er kann sich in keine Gruppe integrieren. Er bringt seine Familie und die Erziehungsinstitutionen an ihre Grenzen. Nachdem er aus dem Kindergarten geflogen ist, wird bei ihm ADHS diagnostiziert. Eine Schulpsychologin schaltet sich ein, und ein Psychiater. Verzweifelt suchen die Eltern eine passende Schule. Immer wieder muss seine Mutter Jil ihn abholen, weil die Lehrkräfte überfordert sind; keine Schule will ihn behalten. Was soll aus Anatol werden?
Jil, die von einem freien Leben als Dichterin und Sängerin träumte, droht an der Herausforderung zu zerbrechen.
Lea Gottheil lebt mit ihrer Familie in Zürich, wo sie lange als Buchhändlerin gearbeitet hat. Sie schreibt Prosa, Lyrik, Stücke und Lieder, mit denen sie Solo oder im Duo GröberGottheil auftritt. Im JULL, dem Jungen Literaturlabor Zürich, begleitet sie als Schreibcoach Kinder und Jugendliche. Ihr Debüt Sommervogel ist 2009, ihr Lyrikband gläserne fuge 2018 erschienen.
There's no way Anatol is starting school yet. He’s a smart, imaginative child, but he struggles to fit into any group. He pushes his family and educational institutions to their limits. After being expelled from preschool, he is diagnosed with ADHD. First a school psychologist, then a psychiatrist gets involved. His parents search for a suitable school. What will become of Anatol?
Jil dreamed of a life of freedom as a poet and singer, but she is on the verge of burnout. She is consumed by worry for her beloved child, feelings of guilt and failure as a mother, and disappointment in a life that she had hoped for but cannot live.
Lea Gottheil lives with her family in Zurich, where she worked as a bookseller for many years. She writes prose, poetry, plays and songs, which she performs either solo or as part of the duo GröberGottheil. She works as a writing coach for children and young adults at JULL, the Zurich Youth Literature Lab. Her debut novel, Sommervogel, was published in 2009, and her poetry collection, Gläserne Fuge, in 2018.
