Escribí treinta y ocho textos —de no más de tres páginas— entre dos mil veinte y dos mil veinte y dos. Es decir, todo lo que escribía iba a un archivo. No hubo rasero. Todo iba al archivo. Nada se destruía. Coleccionarlos, sin embargo, no era una movida inconsciente. Tenía un objetivo secreto: escribir una novela que contase cincuenta arranques de novela; todos desastrosos, todos intentos inútiles. Quería llevar a fábula ese instante en que la persona que dice escribir inicia, planifica, logra sentar bases de un proyecto en el cual trabajar semanas y semanas, discute de su novela, va perfilando personajes, situaciones, corrige y vuelve sobre sí en un accionar obsesivo.

Leonardo López Verdugo. (Cuenca, Ecuador. 1991). Estudió Letras en la Universidad de Cuenca y Literaturas española y latinoamericana en la Universidad de Buenos Aires. Publicó el libro de cuentos Ficción de origen (2019) el que resultó ganador de la convocatoria para publicaciones de la Casa de la Cultura Núcleo del Azuay. Mención de honor en el concurso de novela breve «Miguel Riofrío 2020» con La narrativa: un ensayo sobre la forma. Ganador de la convocatoria editorial para publicación del GAD Cuenca 2021 con Lo fractal: dos relatos en clave noir donde se incluyen las novelas Errores en tiempo de ejecución y Dependencia sintética. Ganador de los Fondos Concursables del Instituto de Fomento a la Creatividad y la Innovación (IFCI) y el Ministerio de Cultura y Patrimonio del Ecuador (2021) con la novela Ficción asociativa, publicada por la editorial Verbalóbrego. Mención de honor en el premio de novela breve «La Linares 2022» con Enseñar a fumar a las niñas (un esquema), novela publicada por la Campaña de Lectura Eugenio Espejo. Publicó el libro conceptual/remake Errores & dependencia (2022) con la editorial Blanca de Quito. Dirige el plan de escritura creativa Proyecto guerrilla.
