Corral es una novela cuyas imágenes (como el terror en aquellos insondables ojos) se quedan largamente impregnadas en la memoria, esa que a Nicolás Poblete le sirve de espejo y pantalla para proyectar un relato que atraviesa el thriller político, la novela negra y hasta el folk-horror con la seguridad que le brinda su prosa impredecible. Este es un relato de machos condenados al peor de los castigos, la indiferencia, y de seres incomprendidos que viven relegados por culpas que no asumieron. Nicolás Poblete Pardo es autor de novelas, volúmenes de relatos y del poemario en inglés Swimming the Witch. Nicolás obtuvo su PhD en Literatura Hispanoamericana en Washington University in St. Louis y, además de hacer clases de literatura, es traductor y colaborador estable del diario Cine y Literatura, de la revista cultural La Panera y de la publicación valenciana Ucrònica.

Nicolás Poblete Pardo is the author of novels, short story collections and a poetry collection in English Swimming the Witch. Nicolás obtained his PhD in Latin American Literature from Washington University in St. Louis and, in addition to teaching literature, is a translator and regular contributor to the newspaper Cine y Literatura, the cultural magazine La Panera, and the Valencian publication Ucrònica.
