À Gaza, on promet la mer et l’or. Casinos, marinas, data centers… et un tableur pour déplacer un peuple. Dans ce roman d’anticipation implacable, un stratège américain, un décideur israélien et leurs alliés écrivent le script d’une “stabilité” vendue au monde. Tout est prévu : l’exil maquillé en relogement, le silence des caméras, la mémoire effacée sous le béton.
Mais face à la ‘‘Gaza Azure”, des voix surgissent – médecins, professeurs, poètes, jeunes et anciens – pour dire l’indicible et sauver le droit à exister. L’Aube d’un nouveau monde est une parabole politique et poétique : un miroir tendu à notre époque, et une invitation à croire qu’un autre chemin reste possible.
Abdesselam Cheddadi est historien et philosophe, mais aussi romancier. Il est l’auteur notamment de Ibn Khaldûn Une biographie romancée, et de Le bois des ans. Il a fondé et dirigé Le Magazine Littéraire du Maroc.

In this uncompromising work of speculative fiction, an American strategist, an Israeli decision-maker, and their allies draft the script of a “stability” sold to the world. Everything is carefully planned: exile disguised as resettlement, cameras turned away, memory erased beneath concrete.
Yet in the face of “Azure Gaza,” voices rise—doctors, professors, poets, young and old alike—to speak the unspeakable and defend the right to exist. The Dawn of a New World is both a political and poetic parable: a mirror held up to our times, and an invitation to believe that another path remains possible.
Abdesselam Cheddadi is a historian and philosopher, as well as a novelist. He is notably the author of Ibn Khaldûn: A Fictionalized Biography and The Wood of Years. He founded and served as editor of Le Magazine Littéraire du Maroc (The Literary Magazine of Morocco).
