Poursuivie par de mystérieux trappeurs de rêve, une aviatrice débarque pour nous raconter comment enfant elle a rêvé de voler dans les airs. De ses premiers avions en papier à son brevet de pilote, Madame Flyna en a traversé des épreuves. Là où elle vivait à Casablanca, l’école des pilotes était interdite aux filles et aux enfants marocains en général.
Inspirée par la figure de Touria Chaoui, première aviatrice du Maghreb, ce livre qui est aussi un spectacle se veut une invitation à toujours commencer par le rêve.
Karima El Kharraze
Autrice et metteuse en scène de théâtre, Karima El Kharraze s’intéresse autant au théâtre politique, aux langues invisibles, aux généalogies féministes qu’à la poésie des quartiers périphériques où elle a grandi.
Depuis 2012, elle fait des allers-retours entre le Maroc et la France pour explorer les échos entre histoire de l’immigration et colonisation à travers des spectacles autobiographiques comme Arable, ou qui s’adressent aux plus jeunes comme Madame Flyna. Elle a participé à la création et aux réflexions du collectif Décoloniser les arts (éditions de l’Arche). Elle collabore avec d’autres artistes, tourne dans la lecture-spectacle Soeurs avec Penda Diouf et Marine Bachelot Nguyen et donne régulièrement des ateliers de théâtre et d’écriture dans différents contextes.

"Don't follow your dreams, chase them!" Oscar Wilde
Pursued by mysterious dream trappers, an aviatrix arrives to tell us how as a child she dreamed of flying through the air. From her first paper airplanes to her pilot's license, Madame Flyna has been through a lot. Where she lived in Casablanca, pilot school was forbidden to girls, and to Moroccan children in general.
Inspired by Touria Chaoui, the Maghreb's first female aviator, this book and show is an invitation to always start with the dream.
Karima El Kharraze
Playwright and director Karima El Kharraze is interested in political theater, invisible languages and feminist genealogies as in the poetry of the suburbs where she grew up.
Since 2012, she has been travelling back and forth between Morocco and France to explore the echoes between the history of immigration and colonization through autobiographical shows such as Arable, or those aimed at younger audiences such as Madame Flyna. She took part in the creation and reflections of Décoloniser les arts, collective on decolonizing art. She collaborates with other artists, touring in the reading-show Soeurs with Penda Diouf and Marine Bachelot Nguyen, and regularly gives theater and writing workshops in a variety of contexts.
