These poems were absent from the books of their poets for one reason or another. We called them “Poems in the Shadows” because they were poems that were published or recited, but they did not appear in published collections. It was published in newspapers or recited at public festivals or special occasions, but it remained forgotten, lying in the pages of old newspapers or in the folds of booklets that were issued to accompany the events. The age of some of these dates back to the beginnings of the era of poetry. It is possible that the poets decided to withhold some of the first-fruits, because they were later dissatisfied with them. Forgetfulness could be the reason. Or that the poets contented themselves with reciting it once, and considered that there was no need to publish it.
