Kniha Slečny 2.0 navazuje na časosběrný dokument o neprovdaných a bezdětných ženách v Česku vydaný v roce 2012 a oceněný v soutěži Nejkrásnější česká kniha roku. S jakými stereotypy se svobodné a bezdětné ženy potýkají? Jak se k nim staví stát – a jak společnost? Jaké je žít jako tajná jeptiška, svobodná žena v emigraci nebo s nálepkou „černá ovce rodiny“? A jak se dá zvládnout čtyřicet let v utajovaném vztahu nebo coming-out před padesátkou? Literární dokumentaristka Barbora Baronová s fotografkou Ditou Pepe zachycují 20. a 21. století pohledem žen, které byly dlouhý kus života na všechno samy.
Barbora Baronová je česká literární dokumentaristka, knižní kurátorka a lektorka sef-publishingu. V roce 2012 založila nakladatelství wo-men. Za svou práci získala domácí i zahraniční literární a nakladatelská ocenění. Dita Pepe je mezinárodně uznávaná fotografka vystavující po celem světě, známá zejména svou sérií Autoportréty, držitelka řady fotografických ocenění, univerzitní profesorka.
The book Unmarried and Childless Women 2.0 is a longitudinal literary documentary project about unmarried and childless women in the Czech Republic, published for the first time in 2012, awarded in the Most Beautiful Czech Book of the Year competition, and extended until 2025. What stereotypes do single and childless women face? How do the state and society see them? What is it like to live as a secret nun, a single woman in emigration, or with the label “black sheep of the family”? And how can a woman manage to live forty years in a secret love relationship or to do her coming out almost at the age of fifty? Literary documentarian Barbora Baronová and photographer Dita Pepe present stories of the 20th and 21st centuries through the eyes of women who live most of their lives on their own.
Barbora Baronová is a Czech literary documentarian, a book curator and a lecturer on self-publishing. In 2012, she established her own wo-men publishing. She has received several Czech as well as international literary and publishing awards. Dita Pepe is an internationally recognised photographer exhibiting all over the world, mainly known for her photo series Self-portraits, winner of numerous photography awards, and a university lecturer.
