El libro también contiene su versión ponderada de los hechos de aquellos años, justipreciando una lucha estudiantil que marcó el devenir contemporáneo del país, así como el complejo espectro de las izquierdas del patio contra la embestida neoliberal colonial. El autor hilvana sus reflexiones con la participación de muchas otras personas líderes y militantes estudiantiles.

Through interviews, articles, essays, photographs, timelines, and slogans, this book offers an account of the political formation of Puerto Rican student leader and food justice activist Giovanni Roberto Cáez, within the context of the student strikes at the University of Puerto Rico in 2010 and 2011. The book also contains his pondered reflections on the events of those years, justly assessing a student struggle that shaped the country’s contemporary development, as well as the complex spectrum of the local leftwing movements against the neoliberal colonial onslaught. The author weaves his reflections together with the contributions of many other student leaders and activists.
