Journey in Uncharted Waters (Greece)

Salem, an undocumented immigrant working in Brussels, receives a phone call that promises a way out of the dead end she finds herself in. Maria’s marriage plans are upended when a handful of gold coins go missing. In Leku, a woman walks willingly into a desert storm trying to save a child – and herself. Journey in Uncharted Waters is a short story collection focusing on themes of immigration, poverty, conflict and the healing journeys the protagonist undertake under difficult circumstances. The stories are rooted in sociopolitical events spanning the century however, their focus always remains closely personal, with each story focusing on a protagonist’s figurative or literal journey.
