University of Queensland Press (UQP)
UQP is one of Australia’s leading publishing houses. Established in 1948 as a wholly owned subsidiary of The University of Queensland, UQP has consistently produced culturally significant works across genres such as fiction, non-fiction and poetry, as well as children's and young adult books. In 2021, 2022, and 2023, UQP was named Small Publisher of the Year by the Australian Book Industry Awards (ABIAs). In 2022 and 2023, UQP’s titles won The Stella Prize, and in 2019, UQP won The Miles Franklin Literary Award. Across all genres, UQP’s books have been published into many languages around the world, and successfully adapted for the screen and stage.
