En Aaña shuar los personajes de mitos jíbaros y los antepasados conviven con protagonistas que recrean contemporáneamente la Amazonía dominada por el río y el monte; espacio pleno de frutos dulces, plantas alucinógenas y animales legendarios. En ese escenario misterioso, asistimos a historias de amor, desdicha y venganza a través de viñetas familiares y recuerdos que se actualizan incesantemente. Pero cada historia forma parte de una más permanente: la del pueblo jíbaro y su defensa de la vida, la cultura y el territorio, del acoso de “los de afuera”.
Esta edición bilingüe nos acerca al wampis, idioma del Amazonas natal de Dina Ananco, y al castellano de una escritora que usa ambas lenguas con maestría. Citas directas, fonosimbolismo, monólogos interiores, cambios de código, oraciones encadenadas y marcas de oralidad, entre otros recursos estilísticos, nos acercan a ese idioma: ancestral y moderno a la vez; difícil de entender para nosotros “los de afuera”. Dina Ananco traza un camino de encuentros hacia “Etsa Nantujai kinta iis yurumkan yurumaiña imanai” —donde “Sol cena con Luna viendo la tarde, allá lejos”. Ananco abre ese camino para la literatura peruana.
Descendiente de padre awajun y madre wampis. Nació en Wachapea, Bagua, Amazonas. Es bachiller en Literatura por la Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos y realizó una Maestría en Literatura peruana y Latinoamericana en la misma casa de estudios; es Traductora e Intérprete del Registro Nacional de Intérpretes y Traductores de Lenguas Indígenas del Ministerio de Cultura.
Ha participado en diferentes recitales a nivel nacional e internacional y publicado poemas en las revistas como Canto General. Revista de arte, literatura y pedagogía, n° 4; Ojo Zurdo. Revista de política y cultura, n° 4; Revista literaria Luvina de Guadalajara; Revista Escritura y Pensamiento Vol. 20, Nº 41; Revista Amazonía Peruana Nº 34, y ha sido antologada en Nuestramérica es un verso. Antología poética 1968-1989.
Con el poemario Sanchiu, publicado con CAAAP y Pakarina Ediciones en 2021, obtuvo el Premio Nacional de Literatura 2022 en la categoría Literatura en Lenguas Indígenas u Originarias.
In Aaña shuar, the characters of Jíbaro myths and ancestors coexist with protagonists who contemporary recreate the Amazon dominated by the river and the forest; a space filled with sweet fruits, hallucinogenic plants, and legendary animals. In this mysterious setting, we witness stories of love, misfortune, and revenge through family vignettes and memories that are constantly updated. But each story is part of a more enduring one: that of the Jíbaro people and their defense of life, culture, and territory, from the harassment of "outsiders."
This bilingual edition introduces us to Wampis, the language of Dina Ananco's native Amazon, and to the Spanish of a writer who uses both languages masterfully. Direct quotes, sound symbolism, interior monologues, code-switching, sentence chains, and oral expressions, among other stylistic devices, bring us closer to this language: simultaneously ancestral and modern; difficult for us "outsiders" to understand. Dina Ananco traces a path of encounters toward “Etsa Nantujai kinta iis yurumkan yurumaiña imanai”—where “the Sun dines with the Moon, watching the evening, far away.” Ananco opens that path for Peruvian literature.
Descended from an Awajun father and a Wampis mother, she was born in Wachapea, Bagua, Amazonas. She holds a bachelor's degree in Literature from the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos and a master's degree in Peruvian and Latin American Literature from the same university. She is a translator and interpreter for the National Registry of Interpreters and Translators of Indigenous Languages of the Ministry of Culture.
She has participated in various national and international recitals and published poems in magazines such as Canto General. Journal of Art, Literature, and Pedagogy, No. 4; Ojo Zurdo. Journal of Politics and Culture, No. 4; Luvina literary magazine of Guadalajara; Escritura y Pensamiento magazine, Vol. 20, No. 41; and Amazonía Peruana magazine, No. 34. She has been anthologized in Nuestraamérica es un verso. Poetry Anthology 1968-1989.
