Origami Woman
Femme origami est un recueil de poésie qui explore la construction d’une identité féminine à travers le prisme du handicap, du corps et du regard des autres. L’écriture, brute et sensible, s’ancre dans les sensations physiques, la vulnérabilité et la colère pour dire les tensions entre désir et peur, norme et différence, féminité et invalidité. Les poèmes traversent des thèmes intimes et politiques comme la maternité, la sororité, l’intimité ou la violence du regard. Peu à peu, le recueil suit une trajectoire de transformation, de la révolte vers une affirmation de soi plus apaisée.
Aude Meunier, atteinte d’infirmité motrice cérébrale, roule sa chaise entre poésie, théâtre et ateliers d’écriture et développe une parole sur le corps, le handicap et la féminité.
Origami woman is a poetry book that explores the construction process of a feminine identity through the prism of disability, the body and self-consciouness. The raw and soft writing style anchors itself in physical sensations, vulnerability and anger, in order to express the tensions between desire and fear, norms and being different, femininity and infirmity. The poems goes over intimate and political themes, like maternity, sorority, intimacy or the violence of being perceived by others. Little by little, the book takes a turn, from revolting to a calm self-affirmation.
Aude Meunier, afflicted with cerebral palsy, navigates between poetry, theater and writing workshops with her wheelchair. She developps a voice about the body, the handicap and femininity.
