Somewhere in the city, war is in full swing. A family (father, mother and son) are picking up objects from a bomb hole. Their conversation revolves around the war, humanitarian aid and their daily lives, until two law enforcement officers arrive to amplify the turmoil among them. Tais-toi et creuse (Shut up and Dig) tackles the relationship with the other, with territories, and also the role of power in the construction of logics of domination.
Fleeing their country at war, two women (a mother and her daughter) arrive in a neighborhood inhabited by a couple who see garbage invading their town. The couple erects barbed wire and creates a border to protect themselves, while the two women seek the direction of the sea. A dialogue on exile and rootedness, La mer est ma nation (The Sea is my Nation) raises, not without a sense of humor, the question of living in a fragmented, frontierized world.
