El Ain is a prominent Egyptian independent publishing house, established in year 2000, which has initiated a movement in scientific knowledge by translating specialized and popular scientific books. Shortly after, the house has expanded its scope of translations and original publications to include various kinds of creative and intellectual productions, cooperating with major international publishing houses, 'Kalima' program and the Egyptian 'National Center for Translation' (NCT).
El Ain has published over 700 titles to date between novels (7 Booker-prize shortlisted), short stories, poetry, non-fiction, culture and sociology, winning around 30 local, regional and international prizes.
