El-Maraya for Arts & Culture

El-Maraya for Arts & Culture is an independent publisher based in Cairo. Founded in 2016, El Maraya publishes original books in humanities and fiction as well as translating quality books.
El Maraya is targeting to enlarge its translated books from different languages. In humanities, we have already published authors like Chris Harman, John Molineux, Marie N’Diaye and Fred Vargas (translated from English, French, German, Turkish and Maltese).
Working apart from the mainstream culture, El Maraya has won several awards:

• Best Collection of Poems at Cairo International Book Fair Awards in 2021.
• The State Award for Translation in 2022.
• Sawiris Awards for Literature - Non-Fiction in 2023.
• Sawiris Awards for Literature - Best short stories in 2024.
