Pehuén Editores
We are a Chilean publishing house founded in 1983 that is dedicated to creating, rescuing and disseminating books on indigenous peoples and cultural heritage.
Since its origin three decades ago, the literary production of Pehuén Editores has been absolutely linked to the political, social and cultural context of Chile.
A few days after the Fifth National Protest and the end of censorship prior to the publication of books, in September 1983, Pehuén Editores was born as a gesture of resistance, not only for the fact of publishing books with a speech in favor of democracy and human rights, but for the task of returning to the book its role as a container and diffuser of memory.
Language(s) of publication: Mapudungun, Spanish.
