Pez en el hielo
Founded in 2016 by writers Dani Olivar and Gonzalo Baz in Montevideo - Uruguay, Pez en el hielo was born as an artisanal publishing house oriented to the publication of emerging narratives and poetry in Spanish. In 2019, the publishing house started to work with the designer Bárbara Nilson, consolidating a visual identity with a strong presence of photography and fostering a dialogue between authors who break into the literary scene through heterogeneous and hybrid ways. The catalogue is based on three collections (narratives, poetry and essays) whose borders, far from defining territories, encourage their own dissolution. Pez en el hielo is a publishing house that conceives publishing as a collective process that does not culminate in the production of the book, but rather in the contribution to the proliferation of a diverse cultural habitat.
