Founded in 2008, Rue de l’échiquier is an independent publishing house that specializes in ecology and all related subjects: climate change, transportation choices, alternative food practices, no waste, citizen involvement, feminisms, etc. Initially comprised of reference or popular essays, our catalogue has expanded considerably in recent years: practical books, children’s books, comics, and fiction. Our objective: to raise awareness of fundamental issues amidst a wide readership.
