Yomad

Yomad was founded at the end of 1998. It is a small publishing house specialising in books for children and young people. Small in terms of resources but big in terms of ambition, Yomad was first and foremost born out of the scarcity of local children's literature. It's true that children's books ‘made elsewhere’ fill the shelves of our bookshops with books whose references are totally foreign to the culture and environment of Moroccan children. And yet, in order to develop, every child needs to put down roots in his or her reference points in order to live in step with society. This is the primary objective of Yomad.
