Resist and hope

Bibliodiversity: Let’s celebrate and take action! Babelica is an invitation to discover more about our world, a world that is open and free, and where we demonstrate solidarity.

30 authors below 30 years old in the spotlight

In 2026, Babelica amplifies the voice of the new generation! They live in Niger, Morocco, the Philippines, Singapore, India, Afghanistan, Palestine, Mozambique, Uruguay, Chile, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Turkey…; these young talents take centre stage at the 2026 edition of Babelica. Booksellers and publishers from around the world will join them to take part in the discussions.

Programme

These young authors represent a new generation of writers on the global stage. Some have left their home countries (Afghanistan, Iran, Syria…); others live in situations of war and conflict (Ukraine, Palestine, Haiti…); for all of them, however, writing is an act of resistance and hope, a way of sharing and engaging with the world. Their stories are unique; we invite you to listen to them during this 5th edition of Babelica.
