With a status of national local publishing company in Guinea, Editions Ganndal was created in March 1992. The catalog of its publications includes textbooks, children's books and youth literature, general literature, and publications in national languages, for 578 titles in total.
Éditions Ganndal has developed an extensive network of South-South and North-South editorial collaborations and copublications. An active member of numerous professional organizations, Editions Ganndal is affiliated with Afrilivres, APNET (Network of African Publishers), and the International Alliance of Independent Publishers (AIEI), etc.
Editions Ganndal is the manager and promoter of the Conakry International Children's Book Fair which takes place in November of each year. Also, Ganndal was the recipient in 2017 of the prize for the best African publisher of children's books-BOP awarded by the international children's book fair in Bologna (Italy).
