MaroVerlag
Maro began in 1970 as a subcultural platform for (yet) unknown writers. When Bukowski came to the publishing house in 1974, the circulation increased, and the publishing house became a small company. True to its motto »Independent. Unexpected. Undeterred.« Maro has published prose and poetry for over 50 years now by writers mostly from Germany and the USA, recently from Mexico, Costa Rica and Ecuador, too. In addition to novels, short stories and poems, the series »MaroHefte« with essays and illustration came into being in 2020. Each issue addresses political, feminist and tabooed topics. The »gallery book series« complements the programme with hardcover books on textile art like felting, dyeing and sewing.
Language(s) of publication: German.
