Apic éditions
Founded in 2003 by Samia Zennadi and Karim Chikh, Apic éditions is a publishing house specializing in literature and essays, and several of its authors have won national and international literary awards. In July 2009, on the occasion of the 2nd Pan-African Festival of 2009, Apic éditions organized the first residency for African writers in Algeria, and in the same year, at the Salon du Livre International d'Alger (SILA), created the pan-African space “Esprit Panaf” dedicated to African literature and publishing; in 2012, on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of Algerian independence, a second residency in tribute to Frantz Fanon, entitled “Esprit Frantz Fanon”, was organized, with the participation of a large number of intellectuals and novelists; this was followed by a third residency of intellectuals, in 2013, on the theme “The South, which alternatives?" in coordination with the World Forum for Alternatives (WFA) and the World Social Forum (WSF). Apic éditions is also a founding member of the Organisation des Éditeurs de Livres (ONEL) and a member of the International Alliance of Independent Publishers.
