Founded in July 1995 as an extension of the Presses Universitaires du Cameroun (1986), Presses Universitaires d'Afrique is the first independent publishing house with an academic vocation in Cameroon. Initially oriented towards legal and economic sciences, Presses Universitaires d'Afrique takes each year a step further towards human and social sciences and aims in fine to embrace the vast field of the activity of human thought and, singularly that of Law, Linguistics and Sciences of Education.
