Tarik Éditions
Tarik Editions was founded at the end of 1999, created in the enthusiasm by a group of close friends of the book, gathered around a first title, a comic book by Abdelaziz Mouride entitled We Starve the Rats. The tone was set. Tazmamart, Cell 10 of Ahmed Marzouki; Morocco, the Broken Hope of Ignace Dalle; Hero Without Glory of Mehdi Bennouna, etc...
But although the subjects privilege history, memory, and current events, Tarik Editions quickly expands its editorial field through surveys, testimonies, studies on social phenomena, the evolution of the modern world, and international political events. Thus, a collection of literature has come to enhance the catalogue of the publishing house around, in particular, reeditions of the works of Mohammed Khaïr-Eddine and the release of several novels and collections of short stories.
One of its goals is also to translate into Arabic his best works such as Tazmamart; Heroes Without Glory; Morocco: Regions, Countries, Territories under the direction of Jean-François Troin. In addition, there is an original collection entitled “Enjeux planète”, produced in partnership with twelve French-language publishers, which deals with the various challenges associated with globalization. Today, the publishing house is venturing into the digital field to revive sold-out flagship books and some new titles to make them discover a wider audience.
Language(s) of publication: Arabic, French.
